By enrolling in a learning journey or training course of The Argonauts you acknowledge having read and understood the terms and conditions, and you explicitly agree to the terms and conditions of The Argonauts as described below. If you do not agree with these general terms and conditions, enrollment and participation in the learning journey or training is not possible.
Participation in the learning journey or training is exclusively at the risk of the participants. The Argonauts cannot be held responsible and has no liability with regard to participation in the learning journey or training. The Argonauts explicitly rejects all liability in this respect, insofar as this is legally possible.
“Participant” means the participant who signed up for and participated in the Learning Journey or the Training organized by The Argonauts.
“Registration Fee” means the fee for the registration of the Participant for the Learning Journey or Training. The Registration Fee is the sum as communicated via the Site or any other means of communication used by The Argonauts.
“Learning journey” means the learning journey as organized by The Argonauts concerning certain subjects. Each learning journey has a specific program and has its own registration fee.
“Training” means the training as organized by The Argonauts concerning certain subjects. Each Training has a specific program and has its own Registration Fee.
“Site” means the website of The Argonauts available via www.theargonauts.be;
“The Argonauts” is a cooperative company with limited liability with registered office at Charleslei 27, B-2930 Brasschaat and with company number 0685.722.791. The Argonauts offers learning journeys and training for professionals.
“Conditions” are these general conditions, supplemented by the privacy statement of The Argonauts (https://www.theargonauts.be/privacy-statement/).

The Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, performances, services and agreements, provided by The Argonauts within the framework of Training and Learning Journeys.
Enrollment for the Training programs and Learning Journeys is done via the Site or in a different registration method that The Argonauts makes available. A registration can only be valid after acceptance of these Conditions and on payment of the Registration Fee. Registration must take place during the registration period as indicated on the Site, unless a deviation has been agreed in this respect.
In the registration procedure via the Site, the Participant will provide all necessary information regarding the registration. The Participant acknowledges to be allowed to release this information and confirms that the information provided is accurate and correct. If certain information no longer applies or would change after the registration of the Participant, the Participant will inform The Argonauts about this. If the information provided by the Participant is incorrect or inaccurate, all consequences will be borne by the Participant in question. The Participant acknowledges that the information obtained will be used in accordance with the privacy statement.
Registrations are only possible as long as there are places available. If the maximum number of registrations has been reached, it is possible to subscribe to a waiting list. For this you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The Tender is only final once the payment has been received by The Argonauts.
The program of the Programs and Learning Journeys is indicative and non-binding. The Argonauts can decide on a one-sided basis to adjust the activities depending on the number of participants, the weather conditions or any other factors that may influence the program.
The Argonauts is SME Portfolio service provider with approval number DV.O226136 (training).
Training courses or learning journey may qualify for subsidy with the SME Portfolio if the Participant meets all conditions and when The Argonauts explicitly states (through the Site) that a specific Training or Learning Journey can be paid through the SME Portfolio. Participants must take care of all administration and submit a subsidy application. If, for whatever reason, no subsidy is awarded, this will in no case affect the cost price of the Training or the Learning Journey. The Argonauts does not accept any liability for the non-award of a (possible) subsidy by the SME Portfolio.
If the Participant has certain specific needs or if there is specific medical information of which The Argonauts should have knowledge, it is the Participant’s obligation to inform The Argonauts of this when registering. In such a case, the Participant grants permission to The Argonauts to process medical information to the extent necessary to organize the Training and Learning Journeys.
The Argonauts reserves the right to change the Training Guidelines or these Terms, at any time and without prior notice, at its sole discretion, including the privacy statement. Changes will be published or made known on the Site. The date of the last change at the top of these Conditions will also be adjusted. If the Terms are to be changed or modified to comply with any legal requirements, the changes to the Terms can be made with immediate effect and without prior notice.
- COSTS AND PAYMENT OPTIONS
To participate in the Training and Learning Journeys, Registration Fee must be paid. The Registration Fee is the sum as indicated on the Site or elsewhere and is always payable in euros. The Registration fee includes the services, products, and accommodation etc. such as (or similar to) what is indicated in the description of the Training and Learning Journeys on the Site.
As soon as registration via the Site has been completed, the Participant will receive an e-mail with the payment details. The payment of the registration fee must then be made by bank transfer to the account number BE77 6451 0054 1242 in the name of The Argonauts CVBA within the payment term of 15 days. Only after the payment has actually been received by The Argonauts, the registration is final.
The Participant agrees to electronic invoicing by The Argonauts, but always has the possibility to request a paper invoice from The Argonauts.
In case of late payment, an administrative fee of 25 euros is legally due. The Argonauts may cancel the registration unilaterally in case of non-payment.
- CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
In case the registration is canceled and refunded, an administrative fee is payable by the Participant of:
– 25% of the registration fee due if at least 1 month before the start of the course or the learning journey has been canceled;
– 50% of the registration fee due if at least 2 weeks before the start of the course or the learning journey is canceled;
– 75% of the registration fee, if less than 2 weeks before the start of the course or the learning journey was canceled.
– 100% of the registration fee due if less than 5 days before the start of the learning journey or course was canceled.
The Argonauts reserves the right to unilaterally cancel Training and Learning Journeys if it determines that the registered number of Participants is not sufficient or if the relevant Training or Learning Journey cannot take place for reasons that cannot be blamed on The Argonauts. In case of such cancellation by The Argonauts you will receive the Enrolment Fee in full, without the right to additional compensation.
Since the privacy of our Participants is very important to us, The Argonauts has issued a privacy statement to inform you about how The Argonauts collects, uses, communicates, discloses and protects your personal information. You agree with this privacy statement and agree that the privacy statement (which may be updated at any time) governs the collection, use and storage of your personal data by The Argonauts.
- LIABILITY LIMITATION
The Argonauts strives to ensure that all Training and Learning Journeys are as safe as possible. However, the Participant acknowledges and accepts that never all risks can be excluded.
The Argonauts is not liable for physical or material damage resulting from such unforeseeable risks.
The Argonauts and its appointees, representatives, volunteers or employees, are only liable for damage caused by non-compliance with contractual obligations, if and insofar as such damage is caused by its fraud, deception or wilful misconduct and furthermore the damage, cause and the causal relationship is proven. For other errors, including serious errors or negligence, The Argonauts is not liable.
To the extent that The Argonauts relies on the cooperation, services and deliveries of third parties in the performance of its obligations, it cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from any error of these third parties, nor for fraud, deception and serious and / or intentional error.
The liability of The Argonauts cannot be invoked if the total or partial, whether or not temporarily, non-compliance with its obligations is due to force majeure. Force majeure does not entitle in any case to reimbursement of the registration fee nor to any compensation.
Any claim for damages against The Argonauts lapses by operation of law after a period of 1 year from the date on which the event that caused the damage occurred, was known or should reasonably have been known by the claimant.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
When Intellectual Property Rights, including, but not limited to, inventions, patents, brands, trade names, copyright materials, images, text, designs, specifications, methods, procedures, algorithms, data, technical data, interactive functions, source and target code, files (collectively “Intellectual Property”), during the Training or Learning Journeys, The Argonauts will not claim the Intellectual Property. The Argonauts will assist the Participant in mutual consultation and in good faith to further develop this Intellectual Property if the Participant so requests. The Argonauts has the right to refer to the Intellectual Property, created during a Learning Journey or Training, in other Learning Journeys or Courses. The holder of the Intellectual Property hereby grants a perpetual license to The Argonauts to use the Intellectual Property during Learning Journeys and Courses.
The Intellectual Property Rights on the teaching materials and teaching methods remain the property of The Argonauts and its partners and in no case will rights be transferred to the Participants.
- PICTURE MATERIAL
The Participant acknowledges and gives permission to The Argonauts that images, photographic material and audio-visual recordings (hereafter “Visual material”) will be made during the Training and Learning Journeys. The Participant hereby gives permission in accordance with Article XI.174 of the Economic Law Code to make and publish Visual Material via all channels that The Argonauts deems opportune. (for example, but not limited to brochures, social media, newsletters, promotional films, etc.)
If the Participant does not wish Visual material to be published, the Training Guidelines can explicitly request this from The Argonauts by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. In such a case, The Argonauts will not publish Visual Material on which the Participant can be identified, of which the Participant has confirmed in writing that he does not consent to this.
The Argonauts serves as a single point of contact for any questions or comments regarding its Training, Learning journeys and activities. All complaints must at least be reported by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and if necessary, to the competent authority.
The Argonauts will consider and investigate any serious complaint and will do its utmost to give the appropriate result as far as possible, and to find a solution that is suitable for all parties involved within a reasonable period of time.
- APPLICABLE LAW AND COMPETENCE
All disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions are subject to Belgian law. In any dispute in this respect between The Argonauts and a Participant, an attempt will always first be made to reach an amicable solution. If no amicable settlement can be reached, the courts of Antwerp, Antwerp section, are competent.
In no case shall The Argonauts be or may be obliged to intervene in a dispute between different Participants, or between Participants and third parties.
